Help me please
So I opened the Resource Packs tab recently, and I noticed that the default resource pack is for a newer version. Is it normal and how can I fix it?

Try updating your Minecraft to the newest version. Or just download the default texture pack online and put it in if you have to.

Consider reinstalling the resources and/or the version you're using. Does it happen with all versions or just one?

I happens to all versions

hm that should not happen - but what you can do for now is go to %AppData%\.minecraft\resources and delete everything. Restart the Launcher and start any version of Minecraft to test. Let me know if that does anything.

Weird, is it default or programmer art?

If you opened the Resource Packs tab and noticed that the default resource pack is for a newer version of Minecraft than the one you are currently using, it might indicate that your Minecraft client is not up to date. Here are a few steps you can take to fix this issue:
Remember, it's always a good idea to back up your game files, including resource packs and saved worlds, before making any changes or updates to ensure that you can restore them if anything goes wrong.
- Update your Minecraft client: Make sure you have the latest version of Minecraft installed on your computer. Updates often include bug fixes, compatibility improvements, and updated resource packs.
- Check for updates in the launcher: If you are using the Minecraft launcher, open it and check for any available updates. The launcher should automatically detect and download the latest version of the game.

No, that shouldn't be happening. What version are you on?
(P.S. the fact that it shows up as incompatible is purely cosmetic. You should be able to load the pack and have it work just fine anyway.)

okay so, you simply download the texture pack, unzip it, open the "pack.mcmeta" with notepad, edit the "pack_format : [there should be a number here]"
to the right number those are all the numbers currently in the game
1 = 1.6.1 to 1.8.9
2 = 1.9 to 1.10.2
3= 1.11 to 1.12.2
4= 1.13 to 1.14.4
5= 1.15 to 1.16.1
6= 1.16.2 to 1.16.5
7= 1.17 to 1.17.1
8= 1.18 to 1.18.2
9= 1.19 to 1.19.2
12= 1.19.3
13= 1.19.4
hope this helped

Hello, I don't know what to do because it's the default resource pack. Do you possibly know the path to it? (The same issue is for Programmer Art too)

welp if it's the default ones, you can just load it in, many people think its just a cosmetic, it's not that simple but if it's a default one, just load it in.
