A friend of mine doesn't play server aternos with us. I thought that since he bought minecraft with a microsoft account, he doesn't let it in. Only he doesn't make him create a mojang account. Although I think if he somehow he does the mojang account he has to buy back minecraft, right?

Your friend should type the ip like this

you must give him the port of aternos, you can find it, in the "connect" button

Whether or not he can join a server is not related to Microsoft vs Mojang account.
Make sure the IP is followed by a port. Your aternos ip probably looks like:
my_server.aternos.org:4124
or
123.456.789.123:6452
If you can join, your friend should be able to join the same way you did. Is there any message your friend gets? If whitelist is on, did you add him? Is he on the right version? Is he joining using the Java edition (it doesn't matter if he logs in with Microsoft or Mojang). It would help if we knew more about what exactly is going wrong, if there is any text explaining why your friend cannot connect.
