Help Needed!
Ok. I downloaded a world with a hotel on it, not quite furnished yet. (My friend made it.) So, I loaded it, and it wasn't creative. I couldn't furnish because it was adventure. Weird. How can you change it to creative w/o mods?

I'm assuming that it has cheats on, because you cant build in adventure mode.
you can get a program called gamemode switcher or something like that that changes the worlds gamemode you can always do what MrHunte96 said to change back to a different gamemode

If you are not using a server -> load the world > hit "Esc" > Hit "Open to Lan" > Hit "Allow Cheat: off" to On cheat on the server > than type "/gamemode 1"

give yourself a command block (assuming you have the console for the server) and have it run the command /gamemode creative @p if your running a singleplayer/vanilla
if its a bukkit server or a server you have just do /gamemode creative, you might also try
copying the world and making it creative in the copy, or simply ask your buddy to add the command block or change the gm on the map and resend
