Help! Pixelmon Server Bugs

Hey,
So I apologize in advance for being such a noob , but once I get this server setup with no bugs, I'll be able to handle it on my own.
I've encountered problems,
1.) Pokemon NEVER spawn, Trainers do, Apricorns do, but never Pokemon, I tried to config the file with the spawn-rates but it doesn't work?! It doesn't let me access the file..
2.) Random crashes, this isn't much of an issue it rarely happens and once I re-log everything's fine, but would like a fix for this.
3.) Pokemon die when battling trainers, though pokemon never spawn I still spawn into the world with my starter pokemon, so I try and battle trainers and once I make a move my pokemon die automatically.
So, If you could tell me how to fix these bugs that would be great, I've been on Pixelmon Servers that run smoothly without a problem.
