Making a non hamachi server is very difficult. First you must forward your ports, which I can not describe how to do in words, so do a search on youtube or google.
Secondly, you must download the server client from mc.net, and run it, then find your IP address and if your server has it's ports forwarded, people will be able to join.

It's not that hard... It only takes a couple of ounces of knowledge and the port forwarding is pretty straight forward especially if you watch a tutorial. And don't download the vanilla server. Even if you want to play 'vanilla', get bukkit. Much better.

Hamachi is your problem. If its a hamachi its not gonna be online for everyone including the pmc server checker
Post it real quick and i'll look at it and try to figure it out. Oh and did you use hamachi or port forwarding?
