Ok so when i download mine craft.jar for mac it does it fine then when i try to open it it says the file is damaged you should move it to trash is this a computer enternal error or a download error if possible someone with a mac can add me on skype and send me a mine craft.jar file and see if its corrupted or anyone if you could help me with this i would be in ur debt thanks!

ok, first of all, it is illegal to give the jar file no matter what. the proper way to fix this is by deleting the .minecraft folder. you can take the saves folder out if you want. but DO NOT download the minecraft.jar from the internet. also, try force updating.
