Help me please! A minecraft server error

So, whenever I try to login to minecraft, I get this error:
Failed to login: java.oi.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 503 for URL: http://session.minecraft.net/game/joins ... y5&session

Sorry if that seemed like spam, but I really would like some help with this.
Please respond on how I can fix this.
*Note* Before this happened, I was getting hit out of no where, then died, then minecraft lagged out, and shutdown. So please help!

The session authentication servers were down not too long ago, but they're up now.
