Help request: Continue Minecraft on new account
Hello,
I am sorry in advance if this was already asked and answered but I was not able to find it.
I have recently purchased a new account for Minecraft Java Edition as I've lost my old one. I had saved my old .minecraft folder and everything works fine now in continuing with my world except for one thing - all cured villagers and tamed animals won't recognize me anymore as this is a new account.
Is there any way to continue my progress with them and make them think I'm the same player as before, considering I still have all of my files backed up?
Thank you very much in advance.

I think cured villagers are a lost cause, but for pets I might have a solution:
1. Get close to a tamed wolf (from old account).
2. Run this command (1.15.2):
4. Tame a new wolf using new account, repeat step 2 and write the code of your new account down.
5. Fill in the codes in <original> and <new> in the command below. It should "unlock" all loaded in pets with your old code (not just wolves).
Good luck and let me know if it worked! =)

2. Run this command (1.15.2):
/data get entity @e[type=wolf,limit=1,sort=nearest] OwnerUUID3. Write down the code that's printed to chat, make sure you remember it's the original one.4. Tame a new wolf using new account, repeat step 2 and write the code of your new account down.

Yes. This is exactly what you should do!
Not that I'm as good with commands as this person, but if I were (and had gotten here sooner) I would say this! (err probably)

I don't believe there is. But you can always find new tamed animals.
