To anyone who might know how to help, heres the details: I once made a server that worked perfectly fine back when 1.6.4 was the latest version of bukkit/minecraft.it was good for a while but i stopped for a couple of weeks for some reason. i decided to come back around the time 1.7 came out but for some reason no one is able to join my server what-so-ever! ive correctly port-forwarded with the same ip as my server runs on and have done everything the same as when i once ran my server, i just cant seem to see the flaw. the console starts up perfectly and im able to join my server on my own computer. what could possibly be wrong?!

ip?
is there no hope?
i disabled my firewall back when i created my server when it actually worked, i never re-enabled it, yet the server still seems to be haveing this issue
This could be caused by firewall settings. If you are running a server without a host most likely, firewall is blocking online users from connecting to your router or minecraft server port.
Just go to firewall settings and allow java and minecraft to access your internet. This is a common error were firewall likes to block every program that Microsoft thinks is dangerous in someway. Microsoft Firewall has most likely blocked Minecraft due to online users accessing your router
Directions To Fix:
First, Open control panel
Second, Open System and Security.
Third, click "Allow an application through firewall"
Fourth, make sure all Java SE Binarys are checked.
Fifth, Save and exit
Your Problem should be fixed now!!
If this does not work, disable firewall. Warning this is dangerous! This can allow ANY program to get access to your router, and do a DDOS process, possibly.

java.net.connectexception:connection timed out: no further information:
Heres a quick + simple answer: Buy a 24/7 server... You can get a 5-player Vanilla one for just 2.50$ on Mc Pro Hosting, 2$ or 3$ on PytoHost and about $1.50 on GG Servers. It will be up 24/7, so wont go down or IP changes. Check it out!
Ask them to copy the exact message it gives them when they try to join and then post it here. Also your server should be recording log files when it runs. That probably won't help but you never know so post the latest server log here also.
What error are they getting?
haha no my friends would have told me that when they tried to join, it would say so afterall
silly question white listed?
