HELP! |1.7.X Spigot|
Hello! My grandmother recently gave me a HP slimline from '06 that has a Celeron D in it with a gig of ram. It runs on Ubuntu 12.10 and Win XP (Dual Boot). I am looking to run a Spigot server that has 15 slots (really 20 because of the reserved slots) that has minimal lag. I also want to know if and how can I run multicraft off of it. It will be runing off of a Comcast X1 system so im not worried about that issue. Also, what is the best os to run on it for the server. If you could answer this that would be superterrific! Ah, I guess ill have to get another stick of ram from microcenter. Would it be better to wipe the HDD? And whats the best lightweight os to use? I just dont trust google . Anyway, have a great day! Ill post the ip if/when its done!
One GB of RAM isn't much at all when we're talking about Minecraft servers.
You can always use http://canihostaminecraftserver.com/ as a reference. However, consider that you also have to load the OS.
