hi, i have a server and its basically just so i can hang out with my friends and play minecraft adventure maps. But for some reason its not working for my friends but its working for me. Please help. Is my ip wrong? the ip is 192.168.1.72:25565

You are doing the same mistake as many people does. The IP you have specified is your internal IP. you can't connect to your external friends with this IP. To get you external IP visit http://www.ip-details.com and have an IP lookup. You will get an IP number as result. Connect to your minecraft friends through that IP.
that IP is your INTERNAL ip, set up by your router and only valid within the computers in your house. Use joe's URL to find your external IP OR just google "what's my IP?" and it'll show up at the top of the search page.
go to whatsmyip.org and thats yr ip you can send to ppl and in the server propoties set the ip to nothing
just a note the server isnt up so you wont be able to try and get on.
