Help with Mods!

Hey everyone! For a while now, I have really wanted to add Mods to Minecraft but I am not really sure how to do it. Can anyone help me out or give me steps in order to download mods and install them?

This is a help thread.. If you have minimal experience installing mods, respectively, gtfo.
Download the mod (SkyDaz is easiest)
Goto the folder you downloaded it into
Goto %roaming%
Goto .minecraft
Delete METTA- IMF (its called something like that, its a mod crasher)
Click the mod file
A popup should come up
Click "Install"

1: You're obviously retarded. I mean this in the literal sense, not joking.
2: There is no "metta- imf" in the folder .minecraft, there is a sub-archive folder in the minecraft.jar called META-INF

You delete the file called META-INF. Then can install the mod.
