I have been trying for a while and eventually gave up. I tried following tutorials on permissions but I always seem to fail. I was wondering if someone was nice enough to help a brother out by writing or editing the correct config for permissions and somehow sending it to me ( The plugin folders ) : D
(For a factions PvP, unless permissions doesn't work on Factions)
If this isn't possible to do please let me know I have been annoyed at permissions since I can never seem to get them to work.
All I want is to have these groups:
Owner
Co-Owner
Admin
Mod
Player
Exile
Owner and Co-Owner - with full rights of course
Admin - with every right, except stopping the server (/stop) and not able to de admin anyone on the same or higher level
Mod - with ability to (/mute) and (/kick) but not allowed to build or destroy on safezone/warzone etc...
[DEFAULT] Player - Ability to build and destroy of course, everywhere but protected areas.
Exile - Ability to type but not able to build anywhere

I can do it
i could edit my own permissions but what would i get out of it na jks ill do it for you, and also Pex is a way better permissions system its basically exactly like permissions but better so get PermissionsEx, trust me much easier ill probs pm you the permissionsEx file or something XD

Admins can use all faction commands, owners can do everything possible, in users if tagizade isnt your Ign change it to what it is, or you wont be Owner, when you get permission ex in a zip you'll probably get two other plugins modifyworld and chatmanger it is essential to use chatmanger but dont use modifyworld, so go ahead open up the config.yml for chatmanger and enable it, exile I believe can't build you may have to make sure but i think its fine
need anymore help im sometimes free whenever im on skype sometimes, toddus33 is my skype name, also i dont want other randoms inviteing me to be friends so yeah only you p a some secret word so u can tell me when you add me or something hehe, so precautionary.

Okay before I mess something up, what plugins are needed exactly because I have group manager and group bridge and bukkit permissions. Can someone send me the page of the plugins that are needed to do so.

I'm confused. Are you stating that you have both PermissionsEx and GroupManager? That might've been the cause of your problems all along, as this will undoubtedly cause plugin conflicts. Delete GroupManager, and then try using your PermissionsEx.

Yes, and I recommend utilizing the modifyworld and chatmanager plugins as well for this.

You enable the plugins Modifyworld and ChatManager after installing them. If you open the files "config.yml" in their respective folders, they'll each have the line:enable: false
Which you must change to true.
For colours/text, you define it within prefixes and suffixes:prefix: '&4[Prefix] &f'
suffix: '&9'
Would look like:
<[Prefix] Playername> Random Text Blarb
You edit the prefixes and suffixes within the permissions.yml in the Pex folder.
Alrighty, so I did what toddus said to do, I copied and pasted that into my permissions.yml inside my PermissionsEx folder, and I reloaded. I type /pex in chat and it tells me it has come across an internal error. Any ideas what might be wrong or what I did wrong?
Oh also someone on my server reported to me that even /f who says internal error occurred :O
