- Essentials is a MUST! (Warps, homes, spawn, etc)
- Groupmanager (Permissions)
- NoCheatPlus (Anti-Cheat/Hack)
- CoreProtect (Block logging/rollback)
- Orebfuscator (Useful for survival servers, counters x-ray clients)
- Worldedit
- Worldguard (region protection, overall protection)
- AutoSaveWorld (World save/backup and plugins folder backup plugin)

Those are just a few of the plugins I have used, and they are really useful.

I'm sorry, but this is so painful that I just have to rip it apart.

1.) Essentials is NOT a must. It's bloated, has poor support for other plugins, hooks chat miserably, usually performs worse than alternatives, is occasionally not needed at all, and is overall just a bad deal. CommandBook is a much better alternative, and it's dynamic feature loading actually saves memory when you disable features you don't need, instead of just making it so nobody can use the command.

CommandBook is incredibly similar to Essentials, but has more intuitive configuration, and can be expanded seamlessly with extra plugins that it loads upon starting.

2.) GroupManager is so bad it hurts. I'm sorry; there is no defending this one. It is made to work with Essentials and Essentials only, and is a royal PITA if you venture outside the included ranks and permissions. Don't waste your time and use a proper permissions plugin like bPermissions, PermissionsBukkit, PEX, or even zPermissions.

3.) I can't argue with NoCheatPlus, but make sure it's configured right, and make sure the staff knows how to actually use it instead of taking it as the word of god and banning anybody who trips it because their internet lagged out for two seconds.

4.) SQLite will murder your disk space after enough time. Do not use CoreProtect if you have a cap on how much disk space you're allowed, and don't even use a logging plugin if you have no use for it. If you do need a logging plugin, Prism logs the most events with the best performance (get async or get sunk!).

5.) Orebfuscator gets janky and it's really irritating. Just use Spigot. It's a performance enhancing Bukkit fork that has an included orebfuscator that performs so much better you wouldn't believe it.

6&7.) Can't argue with these; make sure you grab them.

8.) Why not just use a cron job for this? It's a waste of memory if you ask me, but if you're not able to use cron, I guess it's OK.
