If you make a good map it can make u popular, but there is a lot of little maps or just shit and that doesnt get many downloads

Chance for your map to be popular is geting into "Trending" tab, if your map will get into it, it will 100% get views diamond and downloads, and if you will update this map (what is very important in my opinion) it can get 300+ downloads (and of course at least 1000 vievs).
Important things, not about making the map but about publishing it:
- Attractive screenshots, a very good idea is to use shaders.
- Good, not too short and clear description.
- Updating map is important not only because it is getting better after every update, but also it gets into "Updated" tab.
