How does one host a server from their own computer? and how does one install bukkit with mods easily? im thinking of not paying for my server anymore and would like to still have one.
What does the computer need as requirements? space and RAM wise, and how does one designate an IP to it?? questions just keep popping into my head..

lol for mods? i suggest using those files
drag both in a new folder call that folder however you want and use the BAT file
here is the jar

place it next to the jar file now all you need to do is portforward you can do it by going to cmd and type ipconfig look for the defaultgateway and type it in your browser url bar
next go to advanced > portforwarding > then for the ip you have to type the ipv4 then the ports 25565 25565 and instead of tcp/udp use both
now run the run.bat and you are good to go just give out your duc/no-ip ip to the users u want to let join also in that golder where bot files where placed should be a mods + plugin folder alltough this is version 1.7.10 ^^

There's several videos on YouTube that you could follow on how to host your own server, install mods (which are plugins, btw), designating an IP to your server, etc. I've covered these on my channel, actually.

first of all its called portforward .. u have to download them and configure them urself .. u would need atleast 256,512 MB as a minimum for ram.. use No-Ip to designate a DNS to it ..

You don't download "portforwarding", you set it up.
Since when do you need 256gb of ram. Microsoft Windows 7 doesn't even support that much. Recommended amount to start out with for a server is 2gb.
