I am able to use .schematic files but when is a .schem files i dont know what to do.

I didn't think there would be a difference ?
What happens if you rename a .schem file to .schematic ?
If that's not working, could you post a link to one of the files you are not able to get working so we can at least see the type of file it is please, and what program are you using to open your .schematic files..
