How can I make Minecraft run faster?
Hi, I just want to ask How can I make Minecraft run faster? I am having troubles playing minecraft on servers, on my own etc. So can you give me something to do in Options to help make minecraft run faster. I know a few like changing the 'Graphics' into 'Fast' and 'Render Distance' to 'Short or Tiny'. But I just want to make sure that I can make it run as fast as I can.

If you want to make your minecraft run faster, just download optifine and follow the directions for maximum fps.

Install optifine. I went from 120 FPS or so to 200 FPS with it.
Try allocating more RAM. Magic Launcher can do that. ;D
Also, turning 'Power Saver' to 'Max FPS' helps a lot.
Optifine is a must, but you can also add more ram to Minecraft to make it run a slight bit quicker.
Maximize the Optifine performance, also just to note, mostly everyone says enabling open gl makes everything faster, in my experience it drops most cards frames by up to 20fps (aka my computer does it)
You could also get razers game booster, to stop any background process usage and set a game mode before it runs.
If you still can't run it smooth as hell after that i'd try updating the graphics card, defragging, use ccleaner to get rid of all excess crap, just anything that would make the entire system a bit more fresh. Hope i help a little

Also, remember to turn particles off - If you get optifine, you can select each type manually, so you can keep the ones you really don't want to turn off

Optifine can help a lot, it's really simple to download. Also, things like turning your render distance down and turning smooth lighting can help.
How to make your minecraft run faster huh, It helps when it feels like dogs are right behind you and biting your legs and feet, try that with minecraft.
It would be of some help if you posted your computer specs.
