I'm currently working on a mod using mcreator, and I want to know how to download textures from Minecraft because i'm making a type of armor and i'd rather use the original Minecraft textures for a layout instead of the mcreator ones because they would look neater then. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. I tried looking on YouTube but it didn't help.

If you have WinRAR you can just navigate into the 1.18 jar file, you will find it in the versions folder in the appdata for minecraft. The directory i had was AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions. You should be able to find the textures there.
