How do I load maps on to Minecraft Java Edition?

On Mac:

1. Find your Minecraft folder

To find your Minecraft folder:
- right click FInder and then click "Go to Folder"
- type ~/library/Application Support

2. Scroll down and find "minecraft" (no caps)

3. Drag that folder to the sidebar.

4. Find your downloaded .zip file.

5. Drag the .zip file into the Minecraft folder in your sidebar.

6. Drag the zip file into the folder titled "saves" in your Minecraft folder

Relaunch Minecraft and go on singleplayer!

On Windows:
1) open file explorer
2) copy the zip file or folder of the world
3) type "%appdata%\.minecraft\saves" in the address bar
4) paste the world into that folder and startup minecraft!

find the saves folder, download the map file, put the map file in the saves, run minecraft, and you should see the world of the map in the minecraft worlds.

First you need to find your .minecraft folder on your computer. If you can't find it, go to an existing world, press edit, and then open world folder. That folder is in the saves directory, where you need to go next. Go to the saves directory, and put your unzipped map file inside. Enjoy!
