How do you make a 1.17 Resource pack?

  1. Create a zip file in AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks.
  2. Copy & paste the assets folder from the jar file in AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\20w49a into the new zip file you created.
  3. Copy & paste THIS text into a notepad and save it as "pack.mcmeta" into the zip file.
  4. Then you can edit the textures in the zip file as like you wish.

How do i open the JAR file?
