Hi guys, as many of you have experienced before, I get the can't resolve hostname problem. So since it's a dedicated server, it has a number ip. So how can I find it out? (I'm not the server owner)

Ask the owner,
Most hosting companies send you an email that includes your servers address, took login, and operating system
Otherwise try doing "ip addr" in an ssh session

Just open cmd and type
ping <hostname>
ping <hostname>
It says unknown hostname, but others are able to connect to it.
