How do I get pex?

I've been looking all over for the pex (Permission Ex) plugin but every one i find it is a fraud. (and if you know a good plugin for just prison server things ex. mines, ranks, warps, economy.) Could someone tell me how to get a good pex plugin and prison plugin, that would be awesome!

GroupManager is the best. Ingame compabillity aswell as configurable via notepad++ and filezilla.
I'll just say from a technical point of view, PEX is bad. It takes a very hacky approach to how it handles permissions, meaning if one thing goes wrong it'll crash the entire server.
To compare, if the same thing went wrong with bPerms, the worst that will happen is that permission node will stop working; the server will remain up and players will be happier.
@coolMJW, Idk what you mean by that; PEX's saving grace is that it's the easiest to use, so surely that means PEX is designed for 2 year olds?

That's why I run my config file in a YAML Parser after every edit.
... isn't that a bit much just for a config file?
My config file is quite large...so, it's quite easier
Finally! Someone who actually likes bPermissions! It's much easier!
PermissionsEx has got all the features you could need when it comes to Permissions.

Permission is my favorite perms plugin personally.
Mine too. It's intuitive and without being a programmer I could figure out the file pretty easily myself. Everybody keeps telling me to go to another permissions plugin but then they aren't there to show me how to program it; with Pex I've never had a problem as I've always found it easy to use. I really don't understand why all the hate and all the "run as far as you can's;" I mean the server I played on before used Pex for years then I run my server with Pex and not a problem have I experienced that was due to Pex. Definitely not one I remember taking any time to fix or having server down over. The only thing I ever heard any complaints about are the longer commands, but they work and make sense so who cares really? It's not enough to hate it but I guess people hate it for other reasons... I just can't tell why as a long-term user.
