So I play on this server, I am trying to help the owner out by figuring out why there is this foreign language on the server. What I mean by this is that whenever I type a command like /v, the description comes out in Finnish instead on English. The owner said that they didn't install any plugin that did this... What's wrong!? Help would be appreciated.

The locale for essentials might be set to "fr"
Do a search for "locale" in the essentials config and see if it is set to English or not.
By default, its not even enabled.

change your language to english in the minecraft settings, if not its your hosts server location and you will have to request the bukkit jar get changed to an english one.
