In my last Topic I talked about How to make your server popular general. I also told how to get plugins. In this topic I will talk about popular/famous plugins that attracts alot of players.
mcMMO
mcMMO takes core Minecraft game mechanics and expands them to add an extensive RPG experience, the goal of the project has always been a quality RPG experience. Everything in mcMMO is carefully thought out and is constantly improving. mcMMO adds eleven skills to train in and level in, while also offering a high level of customization for server admins. There are countless features, including custom sounds, graphical elements, and more added when running mcMMO in conjunction with Spout. I really recommend this plugin because it allows players to want to work their skills harder and keep playing.
Factions
This plugin will allow the players on the server to create factions/guilds.
The factions can claim territory that will be protected from non-members.
Factions can forge alliances and declare themselves enemies with others.
Although these are just the main ones, there is much more to explore! Factions allow a great in-game experience between the players along with great RPG and war.
PermissionsEx
PermissionsEx allows there to be ranks, allowing the players to want to work and rank up. If you would like to learn how to configure ranks, look up my other topic, PermissionsEx (How To).
Essentials Package
Essentials is the de-facto standard set up for Minecraft servers. From small servers running on on desktops, VPS hosts and dedicated Minecraft services. Essentials allows tons of commands to explore. I strongly recommend this because it makes everything much easier for the players.
Iconomy
This only simulates money. It isn't designed to be a shop mod, a sign shop mod, or anything like that. Its solely for money. It was designed to be modular and allow other plugins to hook into iConomy and create their own advanced economy plugins utilizing money in new and exciting ways.
ChestShop
An easy way to create shops - no protection plugin needed!
You don't need to be on-line to earn money anymore. This allows players to spend their in-game money on items or they can sell items their selves!
