It seems that everyone has updated to 1.7.7 and they can not join 1.7.2, 1.7.3, .5 ect. But how do i update my server to be compatible with 1.7.7? I can't find a custom jar or any guide on how to do this.

Jackveal, you may notice bigger servers where versions are compatible with them - This isn't because CraftBukkit or Spigot have updated. Servers such as The Hive and Hypixel have "contacts" of which their jars off.

Don't worry about bigger servers distracting your players - Updates aren't really much of a big deal and the newer versions will get to you soon to, you have to remember: If you don't have the latest version then thousands of other servers who are using the same host don't have it either - You're not alone The bigger servers will always find ways of getting those new versions working with them A.S.A.P.

You Need To Wait Until The Latest Version Of Bukkit Comes Out! It Should Only Be A Week Or So.

If you mean when some major servers allow 1.6.4 in a 1.7.2 server. Mojang stated that servers will not be able to allow 1.7.7 clients on a 1.7.2 server. Due to the fact that 1.7.7 uses the new skin server updating service and Unique Player ID.

Well. You go to bukkit and get the download. Or if your host provides it, update there.
Edit, I've noticed it too. Well, not much you can do but wait for bukkit to update. Since clients auto updated to 1.7.7.
