a lot of people want to have their own server, but that would cost money and some of us dont have a lot of that. here's the ultimate solution!
STEP 1: create a folder [this is what you'll need for you server]
STEP 2: go to this link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/rggra ... server.zip
and download the .zip file. unpack it and put the two files in your folder. (DONT CHANGE THE NAMES!)
STEP 3:run the batch file (start)
STEP 4: close the cmd window and update the EULA.
STEP 5: run the batch file again. a lot of files should come in your folder
IP ADRESS AND PORTFORWARDING
STEP 1: press the start and the R key. type in the run box: cmd and hit enter.
STEP 2: type in: ipconfig. some text would come up. you're looking for this "Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi"
STEP 3 under wireless lan adapter wifi there is a sentence called: Default Gateway. it has an ip next to it. copy and paste the ip in your browser. you should come at your routers manufacturer site and you have to log in.most of the time the username and password are at the underside of your router. can't find it? sometimes this gets used as username: admin and as password: password. is that doesnt work, google it or call your manufacturer.
STEP 4: go to advanced settings and look for portforwarding. something like this should it look like: http://www.mediafire.com/view/cx6aj6j6b ... apture.PNG (click the link for the image)
STEP 5: what to fill in: the start and end ports are 25565. at internal and external. the ip type is IPV4 and the protocol is both or TCP&UDP.
STEP 6: now for the ip adress, you want to go to back to cmd and serach for IPV4. that adress is what you'll fill in at ip adress. click save or enable of something like that. turn off your router for 30 seconds and turn it back on. you're almost done!
LAST STEP: go to this site: ipchicken.com and thats the ip for your server. have fun!
