How to change server version?
I have a server and when you aren't on the page it says version 1.3 beta and when you click on the page it says version java §4? my server is on 1.12.2 how do I fix this? is it bc it is offline when I published it?

Aternos servers are generally bad and not recommended
Agree. Basically, any free hosting is bad, unless you're self-hosting it, which I don't recommend for some reasons.

i know but i am poor and this as been an idea of mine for a while now
try some other server hosting thats free, aternos is the worst among free ones
what free one would you recommend? the only free one i know is aternos

90% Of the time theres no queue and if theres a queue just change to the other location
It wont shut down even if nobody is in the server but you have to renew the server every 1 hour by completing a captcha.

will it work if the world is from 1.12.2 but upgraded to 1.18.1?

you could spend about 5 minutes learning some quick CLI in linux and use the google cloud free trial
I have heard about this, and I saw that they have an "Always Free" tier. Is it really free forever or … ?
it wouldnt be good for a long term as its still a trial and you will need a credit card

The "Game Version" that appears on your server details here in Planet Minecraft doesn't matter since it only tries to detect the server version of your server, which could sometimes fail, especially in your case that you're using Aternos.
I have a similar issue.. I'm running a vanilla 1.18.2 server, but planetminecraft lists it as a 1.3 beta server for some reason, and I can't change it.. A lot of other servers are showing the same issue, and as a result, we don't show up in the search for correct version, only that oldest one.

This problem exists for vanilla servers as well. Getting a "real host" is not the solution, something is broken with planetminecraft's server version detection.
