Ayo simple question but, how do I install a mod on a Mac computer?

Install Forge, get the universal .jar installer, install forge, download a mod and drag them into the mods folder in your minecraft folder
If you haven't tried it yet, you could think about using the MultiMC launcher. It has a Mac version. It makes adding and setting up modpacks very easy. You can get it from here :

It works for all versions, however, if you need Forge beyond Minecraft ver 1.13+ then the MultiMC team are still working on getting that working. All versions of MC work without Forge. Versions up to 1.12.2 work WITH forge and mods.
