How to remove item glint?

I have a chestplate that I want to enchant with commands but when you put it on it looks enchanted. So if I could turn it off it would look like I have a normal leather chestplate. How do I do this?

Texture pack that removes the purple glint?
There is no way to remove the glint without texture packs unfortunately.

If an item has an enchantment, or is an item like a written book that automatically has the glint, then there is no way to remove/hide the glint.
Unless you use a resource pack that removes the glint texture Im pretty sure
