How to set leaf persistence to false
Hi!
I am currently working on a new map for my server. I have found a really nice custom map that I would like to use however, the leaves that are on the custom trees on the server will not decay because the "persistence" is set to true on all of them. Does anyone know how to change this to false so that the leaves will decay after the tree is chopped down?

Hmmmmmmmmm ..... You wouldn't by any chance be talking about this map would you ?

When the trees were created in this map, they had to be custom trees. If you look at where the leaves are around the trees, you'll notice that many of them are not directly in contact with wood, or in contact with another leaf that is in contact with wood. This would mean that if you turn the persistence to 'falsr', then around 80% of leaves would start decaying, leaving some very empty looking trees.
There are often reasons as to why certain things are done in custom maps - even if this is not the map you are looking at, check if the leaves are touching wood or another leaaf that is touching wood in your map, because these are 2 of the conditions that need to be met in order to stop leaves from decaying - the other one is that leaves have to be 4 blocks or less from wood.
