UPDATE: I figured it out! You gotta rip it from the game and reinsert it.

1. Go to ".minecraft."

2. Go to the "versions" folder and find the version you wanna rip Programmer Art from, in this case, 1.20.1.

3. Open its .json file, e.g., "1.20.1.json."

4. Use ctrl + f to find "assetIndex." Next to "assetIndex" it should state an ID, in the case of 1.20.1, being "5."

5. Go back to ".minecraft," and this time open "assets"

6. Open the "indexes" subfolder and open the .json corresponding to the ID you found earlier, this case being 5. So open "5.json."

7. Within "5.json," use ctrl + f to search for "programmer."

8. You should stumble upon "minecraft/resourcepacks/programmer_art.zip." Next to this will be a "hash."

9. Copy the "hash" value, in this case, it's "8c3c3b50f72e8dfad4b5fdea7ce32db111319a3a."

10. Navigate back to the "assets" folder, and this time head into the "objects" subfolder.

11. Enter the hash value into file explorer's search window. A file matching the hash exactly should show up.

12. Copy that file somewhere safe. Then, rename it whatever, but make sure to suffix it with .zip, so for example, rename the file "programmerart1-20-1.zip."

13. You now have a functioning copy of programmer art you can do whatever you want with, including uploading it to your server to force players to use it on a server!

BTW, the file itself is not provided here as it seems legally gray. GL ripping the pack! I'm 90% sure that if you're reading this, that you've stumbled upon this page by searching it up using your search engine. If so, I'm happy to help! If there's actually an easier way, please let me know! This was the only way I could do it. OFC, I wanted to FORCE Programmer Art.
