I have been working on this texture pack for forever and I finally got it finished, but when I put it in Minecraft it won't show in the resource pack section. I am pretty sure the format is correct, but I can't figure it out.
Here is the pack, please read the Please Note.TXT file

Just updated it with your help, and it still won't work.
Here is the updated pack

You need to get rid of the useless backslashes (\) you have in your description. It's preventing the pack from loading.

Can you show me the format of where I should remove the slashes?

everywhere except for the one right before the n, since you need that for newline

I've made resource packs for 3+ years (for private use or public use) so I should be able to find out the problem.

Anyways, I do still have more to look at, but the first problem I already see is the wrong way of compiling resource packs. You do not need the com, data, META-INF, and net folder, those do not work in resource packs.
I'm assuming that you just copied the minecraft.jar, and then edit the textures, which is not the way to do it, since unchanged vanilla textures will remain, taking up way more space than needed, seriously, 35MB is too much for a resource pack, even that's too big for a mod.

This humorous yet useful tutorial will simply explain how to correctly compile resource packs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mv9MjEfRis

Also, you can not release this resource pack unless you got permission from all the creators who made the resource packs you use, you'll also need to credit them. If this is for private use then it's fine.

That is a url to a file on your computer, nobody will be able to access it, you need to post it somewhere like google drive or dropbox.

Was able to replicate the issue.

Opened up the .zip and Minecraft found the RP that way.

Opened up pack.mcmeta and removed the space in front of the first bracket.

Zipped the RP and Minecraft now recognizes your RP

I don't know why, but it still won't work.
Thanks for the thought though.

You can clean up your pack to only have the assets folder in there btw, all that other stuff is taking up unneeded space.
