Pezzty
So i have a texture pack that changes the diamond sword's model and textures, but when i use it in-game it looks like the purple and black block. But when i download a different pack that does the SAME THING it works. I don't know if its the model, or texture, can someone help me?

If the sword is purple-black box - there's problem with the model. Are there any logs with error massages relating to it? (.minecraft/logs, or run the game with console enabled)
