How can you put things like sharpness on armor and protection on swords?
Are datapacks or even mods required?

this limits to the normal maximum levels:

this one doesnt but it doesnt use https:
http://mapmaking.fr/give1.16/
once it gives you the command you can edit the text for levels, but some commands will require a command block if they get really long
however, atleast in 1.16.1, i think a player in creative can put any enchantment on to any item, but its also capped to the default maximum enchantment values, but with this youll have to be careful of the repair cost

has a website called MCStacker that helps a lot in making commands, here is the link: https://mcstacker.net/
I use in survival the enchanting table and books . You can use the ''give'' comand, if you are lazy, lol!
Read the post. I wanted to get enchantments I couldn't usually get in survival, like fewtherfalling on a helmet, or protection on a sword
Ok, cool thank you ;)
Np,English is not my lenguage and sometimes i understand something wrong. (c:
I think you do something like this (Protection I on a Diamond Sword):
/give @s minecraft:diamond_sword{Enchantments:[{id:"minecraft:protection",lvl:1}]}However, if you give sharpness or something on any non-weapon item, and you kill a mob with it, from my experiences, your world will glitch out.You can give items with any enchantment with the /give command and custom NBT. Not all work like you might hope, but sharpness will always let you deal more damage hitting with it.
You can use anvils, or at least you could in older versions.
One is via command. That’s all I remember.
