Installing minecraft maps
downloaded maps are showing up in the single player list after putting them in the saves folder, the only problem is- when i load into the game, the houses aren't where they're supposed to be. I can see the place where they should be (for example, on the side of a very specific mountain or on an island) but there is just no build. does anybody know why this could be happening?

Are you sure you are using the right MC version? Can you give me the link or the world download? Also, what version are you using?
Make sure that the Minecraft version of the world that you've downloaded matches with the Minecraft version you are playing with.

I think your world file is corrupted. Are you in the right version ?
