Is there a command that can create random block patterns? (no mods)

Greetings!
I am wondering if there is a way to make a command-block(s) that would manage to randomize a defined area of blocks with random blocks from a defined type(s).
A result as can be seen in this video, except without mods.

I have tried to google the commands, but came nowhere close to what I'm looking for. It was either a mod tutorial (world edit, etc.) or it was a different sort of commands for completely different sort of thing. :-/
I am trying to make it automatic, idealy. So ie. with a command that executes a specified commnad at my current players position wherever I might be.

That's a plugin for servers, if you want vanilla it's harder. Maybe you could make a datapack that uses /random and scoreboards if you know how to do that.
