Bro ik u used a command. It has brackets instead of arrows around the name. OR someone else did it by typing in
execute as @e[type=area_effect_cloud,l=1] run say hi

It could've also been /execute as @e[type=area_effect_cloud,limit=1] run say hi (I believe that would be valid on java, I haven't done many commands on it)
