How do I install a custom Minecraft .jar file in Minecraft Launcher? Just opening the .jar file won't work and even with a .json, it still didn't work. I am trying to play Alpha v1.1.1 on the Minecraft Launcher by installing it so how?

Alright I got it but where to put the .json in a MultiMC instance
i would recommend using an alternative launcher that has those versions easy to download and run, I use MultiMC there are other launchers out there that re-skin multimc and add to it. you can select what version you wish to download and play minus some missing versions that no one has access to
