so basically i managed to mess up downloading optifine by accidentally downloading adware (ive gotten rid of the adware), now when i open Minecraft 1 of 2 similar things happen:
(1the launcher starts, and when i try to start minecraft the progress bar stops at some point then i get a "java(TM) platform SE binary is not responding"
(2 i start minecraft and i cant access the rest of my computer as im stuck on the loading screen that doesnt move, i can only move the mouse when this happens, i cant even alt+F4 or alt+tab

sounds like a memory access issue or file loading issue, this can be either caused by mismatching links to files, corrupted files, slow storage devices Anti-malware/ Anti virus interference or even something as simple as needing to reinstall java.

At least the first issue is caused by malware being on your PC 99% of the time. Did you properly run a malware scan? Try running a scan with ADWCleaner and see if that helps.
