Jump players to different server

I just switched hosting providers and as a consequence my server now has a new IP. However, people aren't always very bright and don't look at the website so they can get the new IP, so I was wondering if the was a way to jump players to the new IP when they get on the server with the old IP, like how you switch lobbies on Hypixel or something. Is this what Bungee Cord is for?

Yes, you can use BungeeCord to forward your players to your new server. Downgrade your old server to 256MB RAM and setup BungeeCord on that. Put the IP of your new server in the 'servers' section. On your new server, make sure it is in offline mode and install this plugin, so players will still be authenticated. http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/onlineoffline.160/
Doing this will allow players to connect with both IPs, and your server will still be completely secure.
