Lag Problems

Does anybody know things that could make a Windows 10 computer with Java installed lag horribly? The world takes ages to load when I spawn in, and I lag trying to move or place blocks. No problem using any game menus, just lag in the world itself. Is there anything I can change on my computer or in my Minecraft, preferably without sacrificing graphics quality?

Any and all advice given without knowing your specs are useless, we need those.
Have you tried Razer Cortex? For me it works perfectly and you don't need to sacrifice graphics.
What're your specs?
