Lan Not Working On Minecraft
when lan first came out for MC it was great me and my bro would play all the time on my worlds but since an update we can no longer use lan yet I can still use lan and I works and connects on ftb but instead of my server showing up for him he has to type in the address.
On MC when I press open to lan it says local game hosted on port then a number,
While on ftb when I press lan it says an actual address and anyone help me I really want to play with my bro again on maps and my normal 1.6 world!

here is a list of things you can try:
1. connect to the same network
2. play the same version of minecraft
3. turn of your computers firewall
4. restart your computers
5. don't play with mods
6. restart your router
7. if it still doesn't work try connecting a network cable to both of your computers
that's all I can tell you it works for me any ways.

i have tried to set up a LAN server so many times i hope resetting this works
First, make sure you're both connected to the same network.
Then, try resetting your router.
If that doesn't work, try restarting both of your computers.

Um... make sure that both the computers are allowing Minecraft through their firewalls by adding them to exceptions. Or try to connect by turning the firewall off.
