LAN Server

Whenever I go to single player and open it to LAN for a friend to join, it always says, "Local game opened to port xxxxx" When my friend opens a LAN server, it says the same thing and nothing pops up on the multi player list.
Any ideas on how to fix this or figure out the IP address?

LAN= local area network
if you friend wants to join he/she has to be on your home network..aka connected to your internet router

i dont think you know what Lan servers are....
(ROFL)
You do know that LAN stands for Local Area Network. So basically you and your friend must be connected to the same wifi for a LAN game to be possible.
