LAN World Question
Well, I need some answers about something and here it is:
Me and my old friend that moved to Canada usually play together o a LAN server but we never questioned the reason why we can connect ,since like I said before hes in Canada.
I just want some answers why we can connect :3

Are you sure you're not using something like Hamachi...?
LAN = Local Area Network
You have to be in the same building as one another to play on a LAN server.

But the thing is that we are far away from each other and we can still connect.
Then you're probably not using LAN.
The only thing I could think of off the top of my head (I don't know if it's even possible) is that your friend may be using a VPN of some kind to host the server and allow you to connect via LAN...
