Hi, i don't know if this would be the right place to post this, but i found a gtx 1050 ti at a good price and it said that it was pulled out of a Alienware laptop.... I've heard that the hardware in a laptop is a bit different than a deskop, would the 1050 ti that was pulled out of a laptop work for my desktop for mc???

Please don't buy a laptop GPU for a desktop. It will not fit or run. The Geforce laptop cards have far less power compared to the desktop ones with the same name.

As long as it has PCI-E connectors on it (and maybe a power connection slot? some GPUs can get power directly from the PCI-E slot) You should be fine. You might have cooling issues if it doesn't come with some kind of fan on it, though
minecraft doesnt have anything to do with this
