Launcher Error

Look, we all know that FATAL ERROR comes up every now and again, but why? What causes this to happen? What fixes it?

Possible causes:
- Outdated Java
- Poor Internet connection
- Minecraft decides to f*** up on you when you REALLY wanted to play it
- Problems with launcher.pack.lzma and launcher.pack

Possible Solutions:
- Re-installing Java (I've tried it. Didn't work)
- Forgetting about it and doing my homework that's due tomorrow
- Punching the monitor (Brand new) really hard

Please help! Only you can save me from ultimate boredom!
