It seems the old 1.5.2 launcher doesn't work anymore so I'm forced to use the new one.
I still have an old minecraft jar with
GSLS
Optifine
Mine Little Pony
and Forge
that worked with the old launcher but not with the new one.
Installing the mods in a freshly downloaded versions\1.5.2\1.5.2.jar and removing the META-INF in that jar like in the days of old doesn't work anymore. The new launcher seems to replace the modded .jar
Our server is stuck with 1.5.2 unless the bukkit guys figure out the new code.
What am I doing wrong?

same way with any 1.3.x launcher. ya gotta use the versions thingy.
EDIT: the new launcher wont touch the /bin/ folder anymore
EDIT#2: why don't you run the .jar installer?
