So I wanna make a fireplace with lava inside, inside a wooden house. How can I do that without it burning down? Cause apparently lava can trigger fires outside of the stone??? so... any advice on how to make a lava-fireplace in a wooden house? Any blocks it cannot go through (I'd prefer to use cobblestone for aesthetic but if there is something that works better to keep the lava from setting anything/everything ablaze...yeah)

The only way to make a fire place inside a wooden house is to build far away from any block that is flammable, such as logs, planks, fences, wool, stairs, slabs, etc. If any source of fire is around at least seven blocks away from any of the blocks mentioned, you should be fine.

Another way to avoid this problem is to disable fire spreads by enabling cheats and entering the following command
/gamerule doFireTick false

Unless you're on a server, this method is the easiest and won't cause any problems building near any blocks that are flammable.
