Leaf textures are suddenly opaque??

I just went into my Zelda project to work on it for the first time in a few months and discovered that my oak leaves blocks are suddenly opaque!

They appear to still have the leaf design, but the bits that should let light through are solid bright green now.
I've tested the other leaf blocks, and they're all like that. The block in my hand has the normal, transparent texture, but every block I put down is solid.

I have no idea when it started, as I've been working on my Wolfenstein 3D project, which doesn't use any leaf blocks.
I know I dropped into the Zelda map at least once during those months, but the oak leaves were all normal, as far as I remember.

I don't think it's a glitch in my map, 'cause I tested the leaf blocks in my Testing Area map I just made a few days ago.

All other blocks appear to be normal.
Up till just now (as far as I know), everything's been fine.

Any ideas what might have happened, and how I can fix it?

I'm using MC Java Edition 1.12.2 on Windows 10.

Update: it was indeed the fancy/fast setting!

Thanks again! :)

Thanks, Milo and PsychoticDaze!

Now you've said that, I just remembered I did that while making a run-through video for the Wolfenstein map!

I'd be pretty lost too if that randomly happened, but have you checked your settings for graphics in video settings? I noticed that when I changed my graphics from "fancy" to "fast," the leaves went from having the green texture with see-through areas to black pixels replacing the transparent ones.
